This tutorial demonstrates the process for creating reel videos for Preaching Through Podcast using Veed.io.
Regularly we will change the way the reels look in order to keep them fresh and prevent people from tuning them out.
This tutorial goes over the look for February 2024.
Step 1: Log In to Veed
We will use https://veed.io for this next batch of clips.
Log in using your credentials.
Step 2: Create Project & Upload Video
Click on the Create Project option.
Upload the clip you want to edit using the upload box.
Step 3: Add & Configure Subtitles
With the video selected in the timeline (bottom of the screen) click the Magic Tools option.
Select Auto Subtitle and then follow that up by selecting Create Subtitles.

Font = DM Sans
Size = 63px
Color = White
BG Color = Black
Position = Center Horizontal & Center Vertical
Step 4: Add Intro Animation & Background
Select the video clip in the bottom timeline and then click on the Animation option.
Choose the Drop option.
In the left column, select Setting and navigate to the Background section. Select the Image option and upload the F&F Background

Step 5: Create Thumbnail & Take Screenshot
We will upload a thumbnail to Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts… so we will need to create that thumbnail here.
Click Text and add Headline Title to the video.
Change the font to DM Sans.
Set size to 96 (adjust to taste).
Justify the text left.
Watch the video and come up with a short text that conveys the substance of the video.
Expand the text to the left and right of the screen… with some padding on each side.
Click Effect and select the Block text option.
Change the Block background color to #46493C.
Step 6: Adjust the Text Block
You can move the left and right out a bit to match the screenshot below.
It is important to do your best to match this spacing.
Step 7: Screenshot the Thumbnail
On a Mac you can press Command + Shift + 4 to get crosshairs and then select the thumbnail on the screen.
Get right on the line.
Step 8: Delete the Text
In the video, this step is accidentally skipped.
Once you get the thumbnail screenshot, click the text in the timeline and delete the text.
Step 9: Export the Video
Click the Done button in the upper right hand corner.
In the Quality setting, change the option to HD.
Click the < arrow to return to the previous option screen.
Click Export Video option.
After the video is done rendering, click the Download Icon and select mp4.
Step 10: Upload the Video & Thumbnail to Google Drive
Navigate to the proper folder and upload the video.
